ABOUT ELAINE BIRCHALL Elaine Birchall has a graduate degree (Master's of Social Work) from St. Patrick's College, Ottawa, Ontario, an institution with a long and dedicated reputation of commitment to community. She is also a Registered Social Worker with many years experience counseling individuals and couples as they face difficult life transitions. Through her tenure as the Coordinator of The Ottawa Community Response to Hoarding Coalition, she developed specialized expertise on Hoarding behaviour and an extensive, broad based network of supports and services.BIRCHALL CONSULTING TEAMElaine heads a team of specially recruited, and trained individuals who are Hoarding-aware. They have been selected for their ability to be discrete, maintain confidentiality, non-judgemental, honest, personable, respectful of both you and the things you value. No matter how difficult the job to be done, or the conditions under which it is done, our clients consistently have consistently said that they felt respected, valued and listened to throughout. BIRCHALL CONSULTING provides assistance to in BOTH Hoarding and Non-Hoarding situations. Elaine has a reputation for providing the highest standard of performance combined with very competitive fees. Her counseling fees are often covered, at least in part by extended health benefits. Over many years, Elaine has been fortunate to enjoy a strong professional relationship with internationally acknowledged experts on Hoarding behaviour, Randy Frost PhD and Gail Steketee PhD. Elaine us committed to research based practice in all aspects of the work she does. She is a strong advocate of Dr. Frost and Dr. Steketee's body of work and recommends their research, strategies, and written materials along with her own, based on her experience as a practitioner and workshop developer. |
