Ask yourself the following questions to see if hoarding is becoming a problem:

  1. Are there areas of your home that can’t be used for their intended purpose, without shifting things around?
  2. How easy is it for you to find things when you want them?
  3. How difficult is it to walk through each of the rooms of your home because of clutter?
  4. To what extent are flat surfaces cluttered?
  5. When you see things you want, do you feel compelled to have them?

If any of these areas are a problem for you, it is not a good sign. You can gain more understanding by taking our full quiz.

Suzanne is a successful technical writer, editor, and instructional design professional with over 30 years’ experience in both high tech and government in Canada. She is recognized for her ability to translate complex technical subject matter into simple, clear procedures.
